Sony officially reveal the PSP2! codenamed the NGP.

Wow! Exciting! My inner geek is happy once again. So after months and months of rumours, it’s true, Sony have been working on the successor to the PSP for a long time.

It’ll feature two analogue sticks! Finally! a 5″ OLED screen, front and back camera, six-axis control, touch screen on the front and back, 3G, Wi-Fi, Flash based memory, Gyrosensor, this thing is equipped! Also, the NGP graphics are said to rival the PS3’s graphics, which is incredible.

These are just some of the games which will available at launch:

  • Hot Shots Golf
  • Gravity Daze
  • Killzone
  • Hustle Kings
  • Reality Fighters
  • Smart As
  • Little Big Planet
  • WipeOut
  • Little Deviants
  • Resistance
  • Uncharted

The NGP will also have an entirely new medium, a small flash memory based card (Sony really can’t decide which medium they wanna stick with with the PSP huh?).

No pricing has been revealed yet, although most likely going to be over £200. Release date for the NGP is set for end of 2011.
